I was getting ready to apply for my passport when I realized I would need my birth certificate to do so. I took it out of storage and realized it had been damaged. Oh no!

All the writing was faded out and couldn't be read. I had to navigate through the bowels of a government website (oh! the horror!) and apply for a new one. It said to expect a two week delay! ARGH!

Two weeks? This is not good! Passports are hard to get in good time as it is and a further two weeks could spell disaster! Not only that, but two weeks on a government website is as good as TWO MONTHS! Woe is me!

I can just imagine God sitting up in heaven watching me panic and thinking to himself. "Silly child. My plan is for you to go on this trip and not even the government is going to stop you." God reached down, parted the bureaucracy, snatched my birth certificate from the fiery furnace of congress and had it couriered to my house THREE DAYS after I filled in the application!

My dad told me over dinner that my birth certificate had arrived and I looked up and asked. "Are you joking? Is this a joke?" But it's true. I hold it inย my hand.ย I'm simply amazed.

Praise God!!!
