In my wanderings through the book of Proverbs, I came across something I found rather interesting in Chapter 27, Verse 7.

"He who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet."

It can be taken literally but I think there's something to learn on a spiritual level here.

Full and hungry. Two types of Christians. The one who is full has taken everything God has blessed them with and horded it. They do not give as God has given. They do not bless as God has blessed. They do not love as God has loved. All receiving and no giving will bloat your spiritual life. If you're in a state of holding back, anything God gives you seems bland and stale. Ever been at those points where your walk with God seems dry, stuck and the same thing every day? I'm thinking this is why.

The one who is hungry has accepted what God has offered and passed it on. Instead of hording, they pass on the blessings and love of God to others. This makes a person more able to accept what God offers them. Sometimes it's a bitter pill to swallow, but there is joy to be found in it since spiritual growth is happening. God's blessings are new every day. Our spiritual walk is truly an adventure now.

Anyway, gotta go sleep now. I'll be getting the next monkey story out as soon as I can.

Peace y'all!
